Packet Digital Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

FARGO, N.D. (June 9, 2026) — Packet Digital has successfully achieved Level 2 Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), marking a significant milestone in our commitment to security and operational excellence. Certification is the mandatory standard for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) contractors handling controlled unclassified information (CUI), and to date, is not a standard achieved by many in the battery industry. For our customers and partners, this certification provides confidence that we are meeting the stringent requirements for safeguarding information, including CUI.

Achieving CMMC Level 2 certification involves a rigorous, multi-step process that begins with determining scope and required level, followed by conducting a gap assessment against NIST 800-171 controls. Organizations must implement technical and administrative safeguards and produce detailed documentation such as system security plans and evidence of control effectiveness. After thorough preparation, Packet Digital underwent a formal assessment conducted by a third-party which validated that we had fulfilled the requirements necessary to be certified at an advanced level.

For our customers and partners, this means working with Packet Digital ensures your data and designs are secure at the highest possible standards. These aren’t self-certified standards. Packet Digital is validated by a third party and maintaining certification is an ongoing process giving you peace of mind knowing our cybersecurity standards are world class today and will be years from now. According to Cyber AB, the official accreditation body of the CMMC ecosystem, only 1,391 entities in total had achieved Level 2 certification through May 2026. This puts Packet Digital, as well as its subsidiary Badland Batteries, among a select group of companies capable of providing advanced, verified security to our customers.
